Wonderful essay; pretty sure I shed tears over that scene.
I wouldn’t blame you, it’s heart-rending both in the literature and in the film. O’Toole nailed it.
And now I want to watch Troy and Alexander.
Hahahaha me too, it’s one of my favourite movies. I had thought to do scene by scene analysis and character analysis stuff, after I do my next Aeneid essay in a few weeks.
