Well-planned universe. Though the material is entirely different, it has very Tolkien feel to it. There are probably a lot of other literary affiliations. I thought Wiglaf sounded Anglo-Saxon, so I looked up the name, which once belonged to a Beowulf character.

The reading experience is a little like taking a trip to an exciting and exotic place, but also running into some old friends there.

Hahaha thanks, and yeah Wiglaf is Anglo-Saxon, my idea is that he’s half-Brittian (Anglo-Saxon) half Cymran (Welsh).

I’m glad the reading experience is exotic and exciting and has a Tolkienian feeling to it. It was my aim, except to make it even more Celtic and Scottish than his works are.

Why did the Jarl’s wife hate Murdoch

Maybe get better names than order of magic and war of darkness

Defame seems not to be grieving as much as she ought to be for her friend and her Uncle.

Still do not really feel like I know Cormagh.

The story continues to grow on me.

Noted as to the names for those things I’ll consider it, but I’m quite attached to both names.

Though Order of Sorcery might need some changing, doesn't have the same bang as the 'Istari' or something as I'd like.

So I'll have to think on inventing a new name or looking at linguistics, so thanks for highlighting this need to change it. Best nip this problem in the bud right now, so I appreciate it.

As to the dislike for Murdoch, it's later revealed he was an odd fellow himself, and friends with the Salmon, whom is the most curmudgeony guy in town and friendly also with Corin. Corin & Salmon aren't popular, so Murdoch earned the dislike of many this way.

But I should clarify that, and I'm thinking add to the Daegan passage, to make her more sympathetic. Like I said, I'm noting down your criticism on this one. I wrote this book 2 years ago, and am appreciative of the criticism and feel the need for some edits, I'll look it over after my next Dracula post and I'm done with my morning writing in a few drafts.

I appreciate this Prince.
