That was insightful. Perhaps you could do the same for the Christian themes in the movie, The Bourne Identity.

What? You didn’t see the metaphor? Bourne wakes up, not knowing who he is other than some clues that he is special. Then he thinks he is this Bourne fellow, then someone else, and finally…

(wait for it…)

He is Bourne again!

I designed and taught a course on Sociology of Film for years. Every year some of the best students wrote essays on Shawshank, and many recommended I include it in the course. I finally saw the light and featured it. Thanks for your intriguing analysis

This is great. Thank you for sharing. It is an excellent movie. I wonder if all the great stories are linked allegorically to the Bible and particularly the Life of Christ. And the most loved stories are most aligned to this. 🤔

Kinda unrelated but fun trivia is that I know "Shawshank" personally. That movie was shot in the old Mansfield Reformatory. When I talk about The 'Field in my stories, I'm talking about the prison built next door to that as it's replacement. The Convict's I talk about who raised me were the men who did time and transferred over from that exact prison and my view every day from my job assignment on Death Row was that very joint. I have a lot of stories involving "Shawshank" lol
