It happened that in the oldest of days, long before Men ever sailed East, long after the oceans devoured Narratsyii that Men sailed east across the Béantic Sea that is to say the Gaping Ocean.
Ve is from Norse Mythologie, the younger brother of Odin, I must have typed the name with the accent because that’s how I pronounce it. Whoops.
I’m glad this story took you back to Tolkien, my hope is to translate this chapter and some of Olympnomachi into French (those that aren’t already in that language). I want to publish a French edition myself in a few months.
I’m glad the mythology is getting better and better, it is my hope to also get my Elf-notes in order (I’ve been distracted by of all things a commision until Sunday).
Oh thank you, my plan is to track down my Elf-notes to-day. I’ve a bunch of French Elf-Notes but no notes about the arrival of men. So I made up this arrival for men and the tale of Aldraine.
But the thing is I really want the Elf-Notes, so that I can assemble them (they’re kind of jumbled), and they’re scratchy and patchy and missing parts.
I want to copy them to pc, assemble them in order and fill them out.
Then the plan is to gradually work on the ‘Early Days’ stories, translate them, so that I’ll begin to publish them in French and English hereon Substack for you all. In the meantime, I’ll keep developing the ‘Arrival of Men’, and ‘First Days of Men’. I want to write the first female chief, the development of the Queendom of the Amazons, the founding of the Kingdoms of Beveriand and also get into the War of the First League of Beveriand (against Ogres).
Vé sounds familiar. For some reason, I'm drawn back to Tolkien.
This mythology is getting better and better.

That was thrilling to read…please sir, I’d like some more
Will do!
Holy crap this was good. And funny a kid killing a leviathan!
Lmao I only realized after I had written it, what I had done.
I have never heard any of that. Where is the rest?
Of this story? I made it up. This is the first bit and I’ve not written every detail that follows.
I’ll be working on the rest in August.
Very very cool.

Wow! Very ambitious! I look forward to seeing them develop.
Merci, I don’t want to spare any ‘expense’ creatively for my readers or my world.
I only wish I had been able to find the notes hiers, but I’ll do so to-day.
