How does America screwing over the Hawaiian monarchy influence the plot of a Disney movie?

It’s the historic background to the film, as to the influence one sorta’ve sees it in the sisters’ background but yeah it doesn’t entirely have much to do with it.

It does help to understand the background of the setting. Clearly, Hawaii did not voluntarily become an American state- it was the product of the same sort of mentality that had previously caused the U.S. to occupy the nearby Philippines.

What a wonderful essay! Hawaiian folk music is some of the most beautiful music I’ve ever heard. My father spent a lot of time there growing up and fell in love with the music, passing that love on to me when I was young. Have you ever been?

No, but I love the music and culture, Joe’s been to Japan a few times that’s the closest any of us have ever been there. I’ve however travelled to other parts of the US such as Florida.

Hawaii is really like its own country. Vastly different from anywhere else. If you ever get a chance I’d highly recommend it!

If you like their music, I’d recommend Sonny Chillingworth. His slack key guitar is some of the best.

Will check it out and definitely agree, Hawaii and Alaska are really quite different from the rest of the USA.
