Warrior Wednesday Fourth Edition 2024-01-17
Dan's collected the posts
Here we are with another Warrior Wednesday, and if you’re reading this you don’t need glasses, and thank you very much for your support and love for fantasy.
First up as always are essays, in this case another by
, who has a review of the Kull the Conqueror novelisation a great novel from the 90s, I’m glad he read and enjoyed.Do give his review a quick read and subscribe to him.
Now to get to the stories that you’ve all been waiting for!
submitted a story with dragon in the title, and I’m a sucker for almost all dragon stories, and look forward to hers. She’s someone I’ve interacted with a few times in Notes, and always came off really kind and polite, so here’s her first contribution to our event. has written a story for us also, and somehow I ended up late in seeing it (apologies) with his tale looking really cool (I mean just look at that thumbnail!) so this is obviously a shoe-in for our event!Next up is the equally new
whom I’ve chatted with a few times, and has got some really neat ideas, so do like you would to Mme Reid and Tom, and subscribe.Donn’s someone I really appreciate, he takes criticism really well, is a nice guy (very knowledgeable about the world) and has a knack for Celtic knowledge on par with I imagine M.E. Rothwell, so do subscribe to him (Donn I mean, but if you love history check out Rothwell’s
also).We now have
who was inspired as much by Zelda as he was by pulp, a very interesting fellow and combo, and here’s his story.Coming out with her third story is
whom I’m always excited to read the writing of, as she’s got a knack for mood and atmosphere, just as she does memorable female leads. We then get the
TM, and he’s honestly one of the funniest guys out there, do check him out, I’ll be hopefully reviewing his story this week when I have the time. He’s been a big help in expanding Warrior Wednesday & Sword & Saturday, so do be sure to sub to him, in thanks. has joined in a few times, and is friendly and a great lover of literature and classic fantasy, so that he always comes off as a delight to talk to, so do subscribe to him for these and likely his excellent prose (I will be reviewing one of his stories over the next week).Redd Oscar’s always got some great stuff, and this week is no exception as he delivers with a short story that’s actually a myth from his world. Myths are magical stuff, and a favourite thing of mine to read so do check him out, and sub maybe it’ll convince him to write more myths!
Next up is the esteemed
with his story, do check it out. is an awesome writer, friendly guy who is very knowledgeable and honestly has a super-awesome so that one cannot help but admire his dedication to his craft so do subscribe to him. is a clever guy, and the first sentence of his story really seems awesome with some great Polish seeming references with the title and Viegalf name. I really like this one already, am going to review it later next week. With an interesting title like Goblin Dreams,
follows in Tolkien’s footsteps in a way (Tolkien though had ‘Elf Dreams’ in some stories), and so I think that this is an idea with a lot of potential so evidently Ethan’s got imagination and some interesting ideas, check out his story and sub to him if you like it, I’ll have to read and review it for myself. Here’s my addition to Warrior Wednesday’s this week, I left the paid comment thing up, and dedicated it to the paid subs I have, it is a semi-Arthuriana epic-poem detailing the conquest of a Bernician type area of England, by Artuir as he fights also to liberate the local people from the vicissitudes of the Valhol men (Saxons) of sorts. Hope you all like it.
Special thanks goes to
Do check out all of these guys and gals, subscribe to all of them for great stories, and great reading material, and hope this edition reaches even more people, and let’s keep growing Warrior Wednesday to untold heights, and keep supporting this greatest of all genres!
Thank you for shouting me out. I may have to write a story for one of these Wednesdays.
Wow, thank you so much!
