Warrior Wednesday Twenty-Seventh Edition 2024-06-19: Birthday-Battles
Happy Birthday to Tom
To-day is a very special Warrior Wednesday Edition, one of the founders of the event
celebrates his birthday and this happens to be one of the biggest of the event as we have received more stories than almost ever before!Hylandian has a review of Crown of Blood (Dan & my book), in this review he expresses his own views, analysis and judgement on the book. Hylandian typically does movie-production essays, movie-analysis and reviews and book reviews and cultural commentaries and also of course publishes his own masterful stories. Seriously check him out and subscribe, let’s try to get him to 100 Einherjar soon!
has a great story to tell, he’s new so give him a round of applause, and a chance as all of you fine writers and readers already have countless other writers! is a fantasy writer, one of a kind and judging by the reviews he’s really outdone himself this time (if that’s even possible with his damn near perfect track record as a writer)! is a writer’s writer, a pro at this and someone any writer would feel honoured to have reviewing his work, with Ethan’s review a great one (the third), this time around it’s a dark fantasy graphic novel that has the honour of his readership.Voyage of the Dawn Breaker continues its flawless journey with its 4th chapter, as
takes on an incomparable voyage. is everyone’s most admired writer or one of them hereon Substack and with good reason, some guys know instinctively to fight, others to draw, he knows to write as proven in this newest epic of epics! tells great tales that make other writers wish to be Jasini and here is Taking the Phone present to prove that point.Treachery and Deceit is
’s most recent brilliant contribution to this humble event, a fine professor, critic, writer and imaginative master of prose and grammar he knows the literary counterpoint better than most writers so check out this great work of his! has always contributed only the very best as shown in this lucky 16th chapter of War Torn her epic story she’s been writing for all her beloved readers so check it out! has a following a mile long and with good reason, brilliant, clever and earnest few can write as well as him as proven by this epic finale to his magnum opus! the founder of Sci-Friday, a brilliant writer in his own right discusses his heroes and inspirations both those related to other genres and personal but also those related to fantasy, in this moving, earnest essay. in my experience is a great writer who can knock it out of the ball-park 10 times out of 10 as a writer, and this time it’s no exception. one of the finest writers around on Substack, is back this time with the index of her very popular Heiress of the Lake. witty, funny and smart returns with a new chapter to her most recent epic one that leaves all who read it awed and amazed! has written this beautiful, philosophical essay about the nature of fantasy, referencing Tolkien, Chesterton and many others in an effort not to prove how smart he is but how much he loves the genre. Kudos to him. has more experience in writing than most writers can ever hope to achieve, he’s also got a profound love for Anglo-Saxon heroes that is also unequalled, and in my experience he is incomparably magnificent. Reading his stories is like being swept up to a whole other world and time, it is akin to how those who read Walter Scott’s work in the heyday of the 1800s must have felt like! has a very moving, beautiful essay about the importance of the Medieval in fantasy, in literature and how romantic it truly was. He remarks about how there were a great many in the 20th century who sought to revive Medieval Literature. On that note, we must honour the ancestors and keep their legacy alive by writing ever greater works my friends so a special thanks to Mr. Wilson for his reminder of the importance of the Medieval Romantic spirit in our works. final chapter to his first book ends on quite the cliffhanger. Brilliant, with great descriptions, he leaves no stone unturned and no sentence is wasted here.’s Not So Epic ends on a suitably epic tone, and note and he proves his worth as a writer as always so that all should check him out and await his next great tale! And for my own humble contribution it would be the 9th chapter (which is free for one day) of my novel Caladbohlg, an Irish Dark-Fantasy of sorts that mixes Arthuriana and fantasy together.
Special thanks to all of you who’ve made it this far, all of you who’ve read, written and supported this event. You all rock.
