Sword & Saturday Twenty-Fourth Edition 2024-06-15: Eve of Father's Day!
Yes I had to put it there in black and white, Father's Day rocks!
The Twenty-Fourth Edition again, this time for Sword & Saturday, and there’ll be a special celebratory event tomorrow so look forward to that!
With that being said, here are the stories you’ve all been waiting for!
’s got a seriously epic chapter for you all, that of Not So Epic Chapter 20, the finale, he’s worked hard to get to this point so we should all give him a round of applause then hurry to go read the epic chapter! strikes back, with chapter 15 part 2 of her awesome story, War-Torn which has yet to disappoint! has defied the odds again and again, never quitting and always rousing every heart and filling them all with awe and the vigour that only hope and a good story can! So read Chapter 16 already! There’s something big encroaching upon us, what is that? Oh just a giant of a tale, the grandest yarn one can imagine, yep another great story by
who’s determined to show us all up (as usual) ;) has only been here a few weeks and is already showing himself to be quite the writer, one of the best Substack has ever offered up so check out this second chapter, you won’t be disappointed. has written another chapter to his great epic Jarl’s Son, a Nordic story that always thrills like all of his writing, with this fifth chapter unlikely to do any less than that! is the sort of writer who inspires others to write, and who never fails to instill in them the warmest of feelings, and this is especially the case with this newest chapter! is a cool dude, and a writer capable of writing even cooler stuff (a rare gift) and this he proves in his eighth chapter to his story A Piece of a God. has not a story but a review, a great one (just as all that he does is) of one of Tolkien’s greatest epics; the Children of Hurin, a depressing tale that all readers have felt tear asunder their hearts, so that here’s the best review of it hereon Substack. has a heart-felt story of how he came to Tolkien, this one involving how his teacher gave him a love of reading by gifting him the Hobbit, seriously it is a touching story and Morgthorak is a good writer so check it out. has written a beautiful chapter about growth, growing up and leadership, one in which his hero Felanar has a difficult choice before him, the question though remains dear readers is it the right one? Seriously read to find out, Nick’s a masterful writer! My own humble contribution is an essay about the need for fathers’ to be better portrayed in fiction.
And a special thank you to all who participated, whether as readers or as writers, you all make this what it is, without you there’d be nothing so thank you!
Thank you! ✨💜✨
"so that here’s the best review of it hereon Substack" haha, thanks Krynnes. It's the best until someone else writes one.
