Sword & Saturday Sixteenth Edition 2024-04-20: War's End
We're almost at the end of April!
Here we are, almost at the end of the month, and so that’ll mean a new prompt soon, I’ll have to post one tomorrow or on Monday, so be warned it’ll be incoming soon. But onto this grand event’s sixteenth issue!
We have an awesomely titled story by
a new entry to our event, this seems perfect for Sword & Saturday. His is sure to be a ‘bone-chilling’ tale of wonder, horror and the clashing of swords so do check it out!And we have a newcomer, with tales of a bygone age, of the most beauteous of sorts!
is a newcomer, one who is new to our event, but if his interest in Elves, stylistic choices and thumbnail is anything to go by, he’s a great writer with great tastes! The Jarl’s Son continues, as
continues his epic, a grand Nordic tale that never fails to inspire (much like the writer himself), so read and subscribe to one of the finest hereon Substack! is the sort of writer’s writer, a thoughtful man with a knack for prose, for interesting characters and for both humour and darkness. His stories never fail to leave you immensely satisfied, and also fascinated so do check out his newest contribution to our event! Not So Epic is quite Epic, as it reaches Chapter 12, so rapidly that one shan’t help but wonder how
does it! And it isn’t just his speed one should take notice of, but his talent, so do read his newest chapter. wants to introduce characters, doing so in a grand eloquent style reminiscent of Tolkien and Shakespeare so give him three cheers, check out his characters and then read on my friends! does two things right no matter what; one of them is writing and the other is story-telling, and in this chapter of her epic War-Torn she demonstrates this with her highly evocative style. has a grand tale to tell, one which has reached its 3rd chapter, Blood Hunt, so pack your arrows, draw nearer to the campfire and let him tell you grand tales of a grander age than our own! has found the dream! Yes, to own a suit of armour and to move it into your home is definitely the dream of all men, who’s blood runs hot and who dream the dreams of olden days!If you want lore, here’s one of
best chapters, a master of descriptions and lore, his is one of the best indie fantasy projects out there, and one he never fails to update. I’ve found this chapter to be one of the best I’ve read recently, better than a lot of trad-published stuff, so do check it out and know joy!And finally here’s my humble contribution to our event, a simple poem dedicated to the generous Einherjar-Centurion
the mistress of all Roman historic lit hereon Substack!
Cheers for the mention! Going to kick back, fire up the coffee machine and read some tales of wonder!
get ready for Ch 4 fight scene!!!
